Dr. Lee’s research has concentrated on dispersing the myths about Asian Chinese families. She has influenced Asian family workers, particularly in China & Taiwan. Her works on children’s response to parental conflict have been regarded as ground-breaking in international family therapy arena.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Bio Feedback Certification program allows you to learn how to use, read and interpret the bio feedback methodology used in family therapy developed by Dr. Lee Wai Yung. You will be guided and supervised in your practice and application of this methodology in therapy work.

PROGRAM DELIVERY

This program is delivered through a series of practical hands-on application of the methodology. It is a practical program, which is supported with live and experiential learning in a therapeutic style setting.

Program details

Children’s emotional and behavioral problems, even psychosomatic disorders are often a reflection of family dynamic. However, many child psychological assessments focus only on the child without given consideration of the family context. As a result of years of research and development by Dr. Wai Yung Lee, biofeedback assessment measures children’s physiological responses when exposed to parental interactions. By working with their family system, this innovated practice gives a thorough understanding of children’s emotion and behavior, which also makes Dr. Lee recipient of the 2014 American Family Therapy Academy’s “Distinguished Contribution to Family Therapy Theory and Practice” Award. AFI now exclusively offers the certification training to seasoned family therapists as Certified Family Assessor for Children’s Mental Health Issues. The certification program is conducted by Dr. Wai Yung Lee.
