PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Based on videotapes of live cases of Dr. Lee Wai Yung’s work, this program offers continuous learning through practical reviews of family therapy theories, techniques and clinical process. You will gain insights to specific and common issues faced by families. Suitable for continuous professional development of family therapists.

PROGRAM DELIVERY

This program is designed for professionals as well as beginners to systematically study the application of theory and clinic techniques of family therapy. Participants will get the chance to observe renowned Dr. Lee Wai Yung’s onsite family assessments, whilst consolidate the theoretical study with practical techniques.

Program details

The Certificate Course in Family Therapy is designed for human service professionals who are interested in gaining more knowledge in the systemic perspective and its application to various professional fields. Using video-segments of actual family interviews, the course will cover the theoretical bases, conceptual frameworks, and skills in marriage and family therapy. This course is offered twice a year.

Dr. Chen Xiangyi

Chen Xiangyi, Ph.D, chief physician of Shengzhen-Hong Kong Youth and Family Treatment Center. Chief Doctor & Professor of psychiatry department – Shenzhen Sixth People’s Hospital. Dr. Chen was visiting scholar of couple and family therapy at Cambridge Hospital – The Affiliated of Harvard Medical School, and Medical School – University of Illinois at Chicago. He has over 35 years of professional experience in psychiatry field.

Meng Fu, MD

Meng Fu, Tongji University affiliated East Hospital chief physician, consultant and clinical supervisor of Tongji University psychological and educational training center. The first batch of registered psychological supervisors certified by China Psychological Association. Deputy director of Psychological Counseling and Psychotherapy Committee of Shanghai Psychological Association. Her expertise covers family relationships, psychological disorders of children and adolescents, parenting communication, family education and marriage counseling.
